Zhug, is a vibrant, contemporary but relaxed restaurant which brings a new, immersive eating and drinking concept to Nottingham. Drawing inspiration from three continents (Europe, Asia, and Africa) the menu, is a mouth-watering and diverse journey of flavours through the Mediterranean.
Prepared daily using traditional techniques, our creative dishes combine spicy, zesty, sweet, and savory flavors with fresh, authentic ingredients served in fluffy soft dough pita bread.
As the perfect handheld meal, Pita has been the long-established staple of Middle Eastern and street food eating. The soft airy pouch is perfect to pack in a variety of fresh, succulent, and healthy ingredients. We also offer Main plates and Meze, a selection of dishes designed to share.

Top off your menu choice with spoonfuls of creamy yoghurt, tahini and our home made spicy zhug sauce. Choose from a red fiery chilli zhug, a medium green chilli zhug and a sweet tangy mango zhug. All developed on site in our kitchen and guaranteed to make (all most) anything taste delicious.
To compliment your meal or just to unwind, our bar drinks includes a carefully selected range of wines, craft ales, Instagram worthy cocktails as well as a variety of refreshing low/ no alcohol drinks. Whatever you choose you will be sure to enjoy the lively, social ambience of Zhug.
Zhug is a traditional spicy sauce from Yemen. Delicious with almost anything. Served as a finishing sauce or condiment. Our zhugs are by us using chili peppers, fresh green herbs, and aromatic seasoning. We have three different styles of zhug to choose from.
Spicy, thick and firey. Flavoured with roasted red peppers, chillies, smoked hot paprika for extra heat.
