Mediterranean street food near the Lace Market

Our city centre kitchen is on Broad Street, in the heart of Hockley. It is the later of the two, open until 23:00 from Tuesday to Saturday, which makes it the one to head for after a show, before a gig, or when the evening has run on longer than planned.

The menu is the same at both kitchens: mezze, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern pitas, meal bowls and sides, alongside the green chilli sauce the business takes its name from. Everything is halal. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options run right across the ZHUG menu rather than sitting in a corner of it.

Finding us

Broad Street runs between Carlton Street and Lower Parliament Street, a few minutes on foot from the Victoria Centre and from the tram stops at Lace Market and Nottingham Station. There is no parking on Broad Street itself. The nearest car parks are on Fletcher Gate and at the Victoria Centre.

Before a show or a gig

Hockley is walking distance from most of the city's stages. The Motorpoint Arena is roughly eight minutes away on foot, the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall about ten, with Nottingham Playhouse a little further west. Street food is quick by nature, which is the point when you have a curtain to make.
